Bring Better to the Bedside as a Hospital Medicine Nocturnist in Canton, OH at Cleveland Clinic Mercy

We are hiring for a nocturnist position. A nocturnist role requires working exclusively 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

• Become part of a cohesive and long-standing team of 23 physicians and 6 APPs with the support of a clinical performance nurse at Cleveland Clinic Mercy.
• We take pride in our relationship with the hospital and encourage our providers to join hospital committees and participate in medical staff.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified/eligible in internal medicine.
• We proudly support both H1B & J1 visa candidates and provide in-house visa specialists, licensing and credentialing support. All required filing fees for the visa are covered by Sound.
• New graduates, residents, and fellows are encouraged to apply.

Scheduling:

• This Nocturnist role is a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation, but we help cover for our teammates as needed.
• We have two physicians and one APP working nightly from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. There is an admissions physician from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. There are two swing shift physicians from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
• They are supported by the Medical Emergency Response Team who handles all of the code calls.

Key Responsibilities:

• We welcome the challenge of complex cases. The ICU is closed, and no procedures are required. Our team responds to codes on their patients.
• The admissions physician and swing shift physicians assist with admissions.
