Local Team Collaboration:

• Join our close-knit team of 17 physicians and 3 APPs at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo. There are 6 physicians on days with an APP Monday - Friday.
• Our team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who are supportive and collaborative with other staff and departments.
• Our team meets frequently to relay key information from administration, discuss group operations, and for general feedback.
• We have multiple committees that our providers can lead or join.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified/eligible in internal medicine or family medicine.
• Hospitalist experience preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

• Full-time positions follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

• The hospital has a closed ICU with intensivist coverage 24/7. No procedures required.
• As a day hospitalist, you will perform rounding and discharges.
• Our hospitalist team is part of the rapid response team with intensivist support. No code responsibility – there is a code blue team.
• Excellent subspecialty support.
• We use EPIC EMR and have access to our own internal informatics platform.

Rewards and Compensation:

• Expected annual compensation for a full-time day hospitalist is between $276,000 to $286,000, which is comprised of a base salary plus incentives.
