Job Summary
Impel is looking for an experienced engineer to join our Platform and Devops team and help maintain and expand our AWS architecture. This engineer will work closely with full stack developers to optimize our teams’ usage of AWS resources while adhering to best practices for security.

Essential Functions of the Job
Work in an agile environment to design, develop, test and deploy internal software.
Collaborate with development teams and product managers to design and configure infrastructure.
Analyze and maintain existing architecture to ensure optimization of resources.
Coding Tools: Python, SQLAlchemy
Infrastructure Tools: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, dynamoDB, API Gateway, Lambda, Cloudwatch, Cloudformation, IAM, Glue/Athena)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science or a related field
- At least four years hands-on experience with AWS services in a devops role.
- Strong proficiency with Python.
- Knowledge of application security concepts and experience with role based security (AWS IAM)
- Experience with SQL database tools: SQL and SQLAlchemy
- Experience maintaining and deploying applications to AWS.
- Comfortable with the Linux command line and Git
Bonus
- Experience working with big data tools such as AWS Glue, Athena, Redshift, etc.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, gitlabs, etc.
- Experience with Machine learning tools such as Sagemaker.
