Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to support our accounting operations. This role will focus on accounts payable support, month-end close activities, and responding to accounting-related inquiries. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment while collaborating closely with the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounts payable (AP) processing, including invoice review, coding, and entry
  • Support the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and basic reconciliations
  • Monitor and respond to the accounting inbox/mailbox, addressing internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentation
  • Assist with account reconciliations (e.g., cash, prepaid expenses, AP)
  • Support audits and ad hoc financial requests as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
  • Experience with accounting software (NetSuite or similar ERP a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a remote environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a SaaS or recurring-revenue environment
  • Prior exposure to month-end close in a growing company
  • Comfort working independently with minimal supervision
