Upperline Health is seeking a Director of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) to lead and drive the financial and strategic evaluation of acquisition opportunities and manage a very large pipeline of deals. This person will be a critical leadership position of a fast-paced team and will report directly to the Chief Development Officer (CDO).

*This is a remote-based position with travel expectations ranging from 20-40%.
What You'll Do:
Financial Analysis, Strategy & Pipeline Management
- Oversee the development of nuanced financial models to evaluate potential acquisition targets.
- Independently shape narratives that yield compelling insights, offering recommendations crucial for executive decision-making.
- Develop strategic insights for the purpose of optimizing financial outcomes for the company.
- Management of a senior financial analyst teammate.
- Close collaboration with and support of the front-end (driving new deal flow) portion of the team. Ability to flex into a front-end role as needed.
Functional Chief of Staff to CDO
- Ensure tight organization and management of a very large pipeline of deals, hold people accountable.
- Break down complex problems into discrete tasks to scope projects into a defined set of tasks, responsibilities, and timelines and lead execution.
- Plan the work and work the plan – Assign workstreams to team members and self that reflect skills and development needs while meeting company needs and timelines.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Experience in corporate M&A, investment banking or private equity.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and proven ability to be creative, resourceful, and relentless in solving complex problems
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, balancing speed and thoroughness.
- Highly adaptable and can pivot on the fly as priorities shift and multi-task to accomplish a large volume of work.
- A sense of urgency that prioritizes prompt action and responsiveness in achieving goals or addressing issues.
- Self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating exceptional follow-through and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Highly driven, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated success prioritizing, organizing and meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Strong bias towards action and takes responsibility for achieving outcomes.
- High standard for work product and ability to drive the department towards excellence.
- Expert level Excel skills for financial modeling and proficiency in PowerPoint.
