Team Description

The Computer Vision team aims to capture all the information about the game displayed on screen. It begins by producing precise and high-quality tracking data, leveraging advanced Deep Learning and state-of-the-art Computer Vision techniques to extract the location, movements, and identity of every player and the ball directly from broadcast video. Building on this foundation, we are expanding our capabilities to include automated event detection, enabling richer, contextual understanding of the game.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to capture high interest in-game events from basketball games. In this role, you will leverage state-of-the-art Deep Learning to extract high-level semantic information from the court—specializing in complex multi-agent interactions like post-ups and defensive rotations. You will own projects end-to-end—from problem definition and model design to deployment—ensuring high model performance and delivering valuable outcomes. We value curiosity, a hands-on approach to model design, and the technical maturity to take initiatives from conception to scale.

This position offers a rare balance between advanced R&D and real-world application. You’ll have the freedom to explore and develop innovative solutions, knowing that your work will quickly transition from research to production, directly impacting sports teams and organizations worldwide.

Preferred experience

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, with a focus on Machine Learning and Deep Learning

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Deep Learning

• Strong knowledge of Deep Learning (GNN, Transformers)

• Excellent communication skills in English and in French

• Creative problem-solver

• Great interpersonal skills and a strong team-oriented mindset.
