Responsibilities:

  • Develop, mentor, and retain a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across both onshore and offshore resources.

  • Establish, monitor, and continuously refine Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive accountability, transparency, and operational excellence across the financial operations function.
  • Manage and develop offshore and distributed teams, ensuring clear governance, effective communication, high-quality output, and adherence to defined SLAs and KPIs.
  • Partner cross-functional with Accounting, FP&A, and Technology teams to design and implement best-in-class policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks, strengthen governance frameworks, and safeguard company assets.
  • Review and approve complex account reconciliations and ensure timely investigation and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Oversee billing operations, including the intake, triage, and resolution of billing inquiries and ticket queues, ensuring timely, accurate, and customer-centric responses aligned with established SLAs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including system enhancements and process reengineering, to increase scalability and reduce manual intervention.

Qualifications:

  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in financial operations, accounting, or related functions, preferably within fintech or high-growth, technology-driven environments.
  • Proven track record of leading global teams, including offshore resources, and successfully managing performance through SLAs and KPIs.
  • Demonstrated experience driving process improvements, system implementations, or large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems, data tools, and spreadsheet modeling; experience with ERP and automation platforms preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
