Neurologist – Neuromuscular / EMG / Neurophys (Outpatient) – Tampa/Clearwater, FL

Step into an established neuromuscular panel with immediate volume in a referral-driven market.

  • ~60+ neuromuscular referrals/month with no active marketing

  • Direct patient inheritance from a departing neuromuscular neurologist

  • Established EMG volume and procedural demand

  • Robust infusion infrastructure (including IVIG)

  • Expanding clinical research program

This is a neuromuscular-forward role with the ability to maintain a balanced practice where appropriate—without being pulled into inpatient or call responsibilities.

Who this is for

This role is designed for a neurologist who wants to build or deepen a neuromuscular-focused practice within a high-demand, referral-driven environment.

Strong fits include:

  • Fellowship-trained neuromuscular neurologists

  • Neurologists with clinical neurophysiology / EMG experience

  • General neurologists who are comfortable managing neuromuscular conditions and interested in expanding that portion of their practice

  • Open to participating in clinical research, even if not pursuing a fully academic career

You’ll do well here if you want:

  • A neuromuscular-forward case mix with strong EMG volume

  • Flexibility to maintain a complementary mix of headache (including Botox), movement disorders, or general neurology within your comfort zone

  • A pure outpatient model without hospital obligations

  • A subspecialized team, so you’re not covering the full breadth of neurology alone

This is not a broad general neurology role—your practice will naturally skew toward neuromuscular based on existing demand

The Practice

  • 100% outpatient neurology

  • No call, no inpatient responsibilities

  • Collaborative group including neuromuscular, MS, epilepsy, and general neurologists

  • Strong regional referral base built over decades

  • Established infrastructure across EMG, infusion, and research

You’ll inherit a panel that includes:

  • 32% neuromuscular

  • Headache (including Botox)

  • Movement disorders

  • Dementia and general neurology

There is flexibility to shape your panel over time toward your areas of interest and expertise.

Procedures, Infusion & Care Model

  • EMG: Established in-house volume with consistent demand

  • Infusion: Strong infrastructure, particularly for neuromuscular indications (e.g., IVIG), supported by an experienced specialty pharmacy

This model supports:

  • Appropriate use of advanced therapies

  • Strong patient outcomes

  • A sustainable compensation structure without high visit volume pressure

Compensation & Structure

  • Competitive above-market salary

  • Incentives tied to:

    • Clinical volume

    • Research participation and program development

  • Sign-on and relocation support

  • Residency/fellowship stipend

  • Student-loan repayment

  • Full benefits package:

    • Health, dental, vision

    • Retirement plan w/ 8% match

    • PTO and CME

Compensation is transparent and flexible, with the ability to tailor structure based on your clinical focus and goals.

Schedule

  • Typically 5 days per week, with flexibility to move to 4 as the practice evolves

  • No weekends

  • No call
