We are experts in machine learning, and the first essential step is machine teaching. This is exactly what our Data Annotators do: they prepare data for teaching ML algorithms how to recognize various objects and documents. ML algorithms rely on human-labeled data to learn, so without Data Annotators, our AI-based products would not function as well as they do.

In this role, you will be a core part of our machine learning process, responsible for preparing high-quality, precise data using our proprietary software and detailed guidelines to train and optimize our machine learning models.

Here's what you'll do:

• Annotate data (such as numbers, letters, words, and specific fields) on various documents.
• Analyze and classify global documents by systematically researching their content and structure, and making precise, guideline-based decisions.
• Rigorously analyze images to recognize and report inconsistencies and distortions, ensuring the data is filtered and cleaned for use in accurate training datasets.

Your work hours will be flexible

• In the beginning, you will be working in shifts of 4 hours, which can be increased up to 8 hours - it's up to you and your availability
• The minimum weekly requirement is 12 hours, covering at least 3 shifts.
• You will work from our Zagreb office (Trg Drage Iblera 10) and choose any shift between Monday to Friday from 7 AM until 8 PM

For this position, no previous technical knowledge is needed! You'll be successful in this role if you…

• Are reliable, attentive, and responsible in your work
• Have a systematic approach to problems and an eye for details
• Possess a curious and investigative mindset, eager to explore problems and dig for effective solutions
• Have no problem with organizing your own time and priorities
• Have a basic knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
• Know the basics of the English language
• Have active student rights for at least a year from now

How to Apply & What to Expect from the Selection Process

1. Application Step: As part of your application, you will answer a few pre-selection questions. Through these questions, we want to better understand you, your motivation, and your interest in working at Microblink. Please make sure to write your answers in English.
2. Online Technical Task: This task is designed to showcase the types of annotations we perform at Microblink and to assess your ability to analyze information and make decisions in annotation-related scenarios.
3. In-Person Interview: Candidates who successfully complete the technical task will be invited to an in-person interview with our Data team.

What Happens Next?

At the very beginning of your Microblink journey, you will go through a two-week educational period at our Zagreb office.

• Takes place either in the morning or the afternoon shift (as agreed with the candidate).
• Lasts 4 hours per working day.
• Is paid at the previously stated hourly rate.
