As a Senior Android Engineer, you’ll play an important role in building Android SDKs that power identity verification and document data extraction for millions of users worldwide. Our SDKs are used across more than 20 industries and reach over 100 million end-users globally.

You’ll work on solutions that enable our clients to easily extract data from customer documents such as ID cards, driver’s licenses, passports, visas, and credit cards.

This is a senior, hands-on role with a strong focus on ownership, technical excellence, and mentoring. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, thinks end-to-end, and actively contributes to both product and team growth.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of highly stable and reliable Android SDKs used by clients around the world.
  • Take a proactive role in shaping technical solutions, making thoughtful trade-offs, and driving initiatives from idea to delivery.
  • Partner closely with Product Management, QA, and engineers across teams (Android, iOS, Web SDKs, C++, and others) to clarify requirements, drive API design decisions, and continuously evolve and improve our frameworks.
  • Participate in and influence decisions related to end-user experience and developer experience, ensuring our SDKs are easy to integrate and pleasant to use
  • Improve and further automate our build and release processes to increase reliability and development speed.
  • Mentor other engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
  • Actively contribute to establishing and improving engineering best practices, processes, and tools across the team.

What we’re looking for:

Technical expertise

  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin (preferred) and Java, with a deep understanding of Android development.
  • Proven experience writing efficient, maintainable, modular, and well-structured code.
  • Hands-on experience with Coroutines, Flow, and Jetpack Compose.
  • Solid knowledge of Android architecture and best practices, including MVVM and lifecycle management.
  • Strong understanding of Android Jetpack libraries.

API & SDK mindset

  • Experience designing stable, well-documented APIs.
  • Strong awareness of backward compatibility and the long-term impact of SDK changes.
  • Comfort thinking from a client developer’s perspective.
