About the Role

At MeridianLink, our Business Development Representatives (BDRs) play a critical role in driving growth by helping financial institutions discover smarter ways to serve their customers. As a BDR, you’ll be on the front lines connecting with prospective customers, uncovering real business challenges, and creating high-quality opportunities for our sales team. The Business Development Representative will secure leads by identifying and qualifying sales opportunities and passing them to inside and/or outside sales teams. In this role you will produce qualified prospects by following up on inbound leads from various marketing programs or conducting outbound, proactive calling to target accounts or markets. The role will nurture prospects over time, discover needs, offer relevant resources, and learn where they are in the buying process to help propel the sale forward.

This role is ideal for someone who’s curious, driven, and excited about building relationships, learning the sales craft, and making a direct impact on revenue.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, inside sales, or a customer-facing role

  • Ability to balance activity with thoughtful, personalized outreach to uncover real business needs

  • Skilled in handling rejection and navigating objections

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
