Role Description This full-time, on-site Licensed Mental Health Counselor role is based in Cleveland, OH. The counselor will provide individual, family, and group counseling to clients experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, using evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Daily responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and coordinating care with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other professionals as appropriate. The role also involves monitoring client progress, adjusting interventions as needed, providing crisis intervention when necessary, and collaborating with internal teams to support continuity and quality of care. The counselor will uphold ethical standards, participate in case consultations or team meetings, and contribute to a supportive, inclusive clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Mental Health and Psychology, with the ability to assess, diagnose, and treat a range of behavioral health conditions.
- Proficiency in Treatment Planning and Case Management to develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans and community resources.
- Experience in Relationship Counseling, including work with couples, families, and interpersonal dynamics.
- Active, unrestricted state license as a Mental Health Counselor (e.g., LPC, LPCC, LMHC, or equivalent) in Ohio, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
- Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records and outcome-based practices.
- Effective communication, cultural humility, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care) and working with diverse populations is highly beneficial.
