Job Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Accounting Manager to own the day-to-day accounting operations of a profitable, growing global software company. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead the monthly close, own the general ledger, and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting across our US and international entities. You understand the mechanics of software and subscription accounting (deferred revenue, ASC 606, multi-currency) from the inside, design and implement strong processes, and you’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves. Above all, you bring ownership, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous improvement to how finance operates at eOne.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Lead revenue recognition under ASC 606 for subscription, license, and services revenue, including deferred revenue schedules and partner/reseller arrangements.
• Prepare and deliver accurate, timely financial statements and management reporting, summarizing and analyzing results for the CFO and leadership.
• Manage the annual audit and tax compliance (income, sales and use, VAT/GST, and employment taxes), serving as the primary contact for external auditors and advisors.
• Serve as the accounting liaison between the US and eOne’s foreign subsidiaries, managing multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation and intercompany accounting.
• Own the accounting tech stack (ERP, billing and subscription platform, and expense tools) and drive integrations and automation that reduce manual work.
• Lead the modernization of the finance function with AI, putting AI tools to work on reconciliations, variance analysis, document processing, and reporting so the team spends less time compiling data and more time analyzing it.
• Maintain and improve accounting policies, processes, and internal controls, ensuring proper documentation and accounting treatment as the business changes.
• Assist the CFO with annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasting, cash flow planning, ownership reporting, and special projects.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and the team supporting them, including AR, AP, billing, fixed assets, and cash management.

Experience

Proven Accounting Foundation

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, with hands-on experience owning the month-end close and full-cycle accounting.
• A strong technical foundation earned in public accounting/audit.

Software and SaaS Accounting Experience

• Experience in a software, SaaS, or technology company, with practical application of ASC 606 to subscription, license, and services revenue.

Preferred / Ideal Experience

• Prior experience as a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller in a software company.
• Experience in Sage Intacct, Microsoft GP, Chargebee, HubSpot, and Ramp are a plus.
• Experience using AI tools and automation to improve accounting processes.
