DataBlend is an iPaaS (Integration-Platform-as-a-Service) specializing in the everyday applications used in the office of Finance and Accounting. We’re looking for an Account Executive to join our sales team. This is a full-cycle, remote role — you’ll handle both inbound leads and your own outbound, run demos, and close deals, reporting directly to the CEO. Good fit for someone with strong SaaS sales experience who wants to own a number and grow from there.
What the Role Involves
- Turn opportunities into customers. Develop solid rapport and qualify prospect’s challenges with precision and depth, aligning their needs and ambitions to DataBlend’s integration capabilities.
- Develop a high volume of qualified opportunities through a combination of cold calls, follow-up on inbound leads, and engagement with DataBlend’s partner network.
- Own many concurrent high-velocity sales cycles including contracting, negotiation, value proposition, scoping, and closing.
- Accurately and consistently forecast timing and value of closed deals in the HubSpot CRM.
- Take an active role in marketing campaigns and content creation to build a pipeline that supports your quota.
- Provide feedback on pitch and go-to-market collateral to make them more effective and repeatable for the marketing and sales teams.
- Comprehensively understand DataBlend’s platform and match its capabilities with potential customers to add value to their businesses.
- Onboard newly signed partners and expand relationships and revenue streams with existing assigned partners.
- Collaborate with Customer Success and solutions engineers when deals need it.
- Hit a monthly/quarterly quota — we’ll be transparent about what’s realistic.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of sales or meaningful prospecting experience, preferably in SaaS.
- Familiarity with accounting and finance SaaS software (e.g., ERP, budgeting and planning).
- Intellectually curious and astute — able to connect with people effectively and understand their personas and needs.
- Someone who asks good questions and actually listens to the answers.
- Comfortable picking up the phone or writing a cold email without being told to.
- Organized enough to manage a pipeline without things falling through the cracks — thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collegial work environment.
- Adaptive, resilient, and independent thinker who can diligently follow processes while finding opportunities to make them more efficient.
- Track record of consistently making or exceeding quota.
- Strong technical aptitude and data-driven mindset.
- Capable of staying on task and managing time in a remote environment.
- Willing to travel to events as needed.
- Experience with financial applications and integration; a 4-year college degree in business is preferred but not required.
Compensation
Competitive base salary plus variable comp/sales commissions. Benefits include health/dental/vision, 401(k), paid PTO. We run a dynamic and growing organization but have realistic expectations and balance — good training, realistic targets, and room to move up if you’re performing.
